Energy Efficiency Industry Trends and Workforce Development in Washington State

This report is the first part of a planned two-phase study indentifying trends and workforce issues in the energy efficiency industry. The primary purpose of this research is to provide up-to-date information on the status of energy efficiency activities in Washington, and to identify workforce development needs and opportunities that can assist employers and public and private-sector education and training providers support continued growth in the industry. The current report, Phase 1, integrates existing research on the energy efficiency industry, analyzes recent growth trends and forecasts, and discusses the major drivers of change, employment impacts and identifies existing energy efficiency-related training opportunities.
