This fact sheet assists producers in recognizing blister beetles and understanding their importance as beneficial predators, as well as their potential to be toxic to livestock. Management strategies are presented, but damage caused by blister beetle feeding is seldom considered an economical problem except to alfalfa hay producers marketing hay as livestock feed.
